Villefranche Sur Mer - A Cruise On The Meds

On the first week of May I spent 7 days on a cruise ship. Visited a different place every night and was able to see the ports of France, Spain and Italy. Welcome to Villefranche Sur Mer! A lovely seaside town with houses painted in light pastel colours. The weather was excellent - as it always is outside of England. I enjoyed being a tourist in again in France, England's not-so-distant neighbour. The landscape is so different. Houses would be tiled up the mountains in rows and layers with buildings looking like paintings more than buildings. It was a harmonised eclectic mix of urban and rural.

It was pleasant to see a different landscape to the flat, grey concrete jungles of London. I enjoyed the fluffiest cappuchino, the greenest shrubberies and having ice cream in the blazing sun. I don't have much to say as this was a rather slow paced holiday with my family. So please enjoy a photo diary for a few more posts!

Have you ever been on a cruise? What are your thoughts on travelling by sea?
